1. What this policy covers
This cookie policy applies to glowedge.io and all subdomains. It describes which cookies and similar techniques we place, why, how long they are stored, and how you manage your choice. It is a supplement to our privacy policy.
By "cookies" we also mean similar techniques such as pixels, local storage, and scripts that store or read information on your device.
2. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your computer, phone, or tablet. It usually contains a unique code that allows your browser to be recognized during a subsequent visit. Cookies cannot damage your device.
Session cookies disappear as soon as you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until their expiration date or until you delete them.
Cookies from Glowedge itself are called first-party cookies. Cookies that other parties place via our website, such as Google or Meta, are third-party cookies. The privacy policy of the party concerned also applies to those cookies.
3. Your choice
On your first visit, you will see a cookie banner with two buttons: accept or decline. We always place necessary cookies; no permission is required for those. We only place all other cookies (analytical and marketing) after your consent.
Your choice is remembered for 6 months. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" button at the bottom of every page.
If you decline, the website will work normally. You won't miss out on anything; we just miss insight into the use of the site.
4. Necessary cookies
These cookies ensure that the website works, is secure, and remembers your choices. They do not require permission.

| _GRECAPTCHA | Spam protection on forms, only active once a form is loaded | 6 months |
5. Analytical cookies
These allow us to measure how visitors use the website so that we can improve it. Only after your consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors with a random ID | 2 years |
| ga* | Google Analytics | Tracks session status | 2 years |

Google Analytics is set up with IP anonymization and Google Consent Mode. Without your consent, Google only receives cookieless signals without personal data.
Contentsquare makes anonymized recordings of mouse movements, scrolling behavior, and clicks. Form fields and typed text are masked and not recorded.
6. Marketing cookies
These allow us and our advertising partners to measure whether ads work and to show you relevant ads on other websites. Only after your consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta | Recognizes your browser for ad measurement and retargeting on Facebook and Instagram | 3 months |
| _fbc | Meta | Remembers which Meta ad brought you to the site | 3 months |
If we add Google Ads in the future, the cookies _gcl_au and _gcl_aw (Google, 3 months) will be added here. We will then update this table.
7. Glowedge tracking and embedded components
Glowedge tracking. After your consent, our own platform places a cookie that tracks which pages you visit. If you then fill out a form or schedule an appointment, we link that visiting behavior to your contact details so that we know what you are interested in.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ud, msgsndr_id | Glowedge | Recognizes your browser and links page visits to a later completed form | Up to 1 year |
Forms, chat widget, and appointment calendar. These components are embedded from our own platform. They only place functional cookies necessary for the form or conversation to work, and the spam protection cookie from chapter 4. They are only loaded once they come into view.
Videos. At the moment, we host all videos ourselves. If we embed YouTube or Vimeo videos in the future, those parties will place their own cookies after your agreement. We will then update this policy.
8. Managing cookies yourself
In addition to our cookie banner, you can manage cookies via your browser: view, delete, block, or set per website. You can read how that works in your browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. If you block all cookies, some parts of the website may not work.
If you want to opt out of personalized ads from multiple providers at once, you can do so via youronlinechoices.com.
9. Changes
We adjust this policy if we start using new cookies or remove existing ones. The date at the top indicates the last change.
